Automation & digitalisation is a business responsibility

The Maritime & Logistics industry has no problem with technology. It has a digital adoption problem.
Many companies invest heavily in new ERP/CRM systems, operational platforms, data, AI and new other technologies, yet the expected business value often falls short.
Why?
Because digitalisation is still too often treated as an IT responsibility.
IT plays a critical role in technical infrastructure, cybersecurity and support. But questions such as which processes should change? Where can automation create value? What data is needed for better decisions? Which innovations deserve investment? … are fundamentally business questions. Digitalisation therefore needs to become a business capability.
Maritime and Logistics organisations need stronger digital skills within the business, a part of the organization with clear ownership of the digital agenda, and a much closer connection between business and IT. The focus should not be on implementing more technology. It should be on using technology to improve efficiency, decision-making, customer value and business performance.
Technology alone does not make a company digital. The organisation’s ability to use technology effectively does.
This is also the ambition and passion behind Dintra Management.
